Diarrhoea Treatment

Diarrhoea is usually short-lived, but it’s unpleasant, inconvenient and – more importantly – dehydrating. Treatment has two aims: settling your system and replacing the fluids and salts you’re losing.

Here you’ll find fast-acting tablets and capsules to stop diarrhoea quickly, alongside rehydration sachets that restore your body’s balance while it recovers. Most bouts settle within a couple of days on their own; if yours lasts longer than 48 hours, contains blood, or follows recent foreign travel, get medical advice. For babies, young children and older adults, dehydration sets in faster, so treat it seriously and speak to a pharmacist or GP early.
