Who Can Switch?
- To move over, you’ll need a BMI of at least 21. That’s the baseline rule. But in reality, we look at much more than just a number - your health history, how you’ve done on Mounjaro, and what you want to achieve going forward.
Matching the Dose
- Here’s a rough guide to how the doses compare:
- 5 mg Mounjaro → Wegovy 1 mg
- 7.5 mg Mounjaro → Wegovy 1.7 mg
- 10 mg Mounjaro → Wegovy 1.7–2.4 mg
- 12.5–15 mg Mounjaro → Wegovy 2.4 mg
Taking a Short Break
- We don’t go from one to the other straight away.
- After your last Mounjaro dose, there’s a 7-day pause before starting Wegovy.
- Think of it as a reset - it gives your body breathing room and keeps things safer.
