What is Naproxen?
Naproxen belongs to a group of drugs known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). It is widely and very commonly used to treat pain and inflammation in the body. It also reduces swelling and is very effective in menstrual cramps. It directly works by acting and reducing the hormones that cause pain and inflammation.
How Naproxen Tablets Work?
During periods, the body produces the chemical prostaglandin. This substance causes the muscles of the uterus to contract, which causes pain and cramps. Naproxen tablets block the production of these chemical substances, which in turn helps to ease muscle cramping, reduce the frequency of uterine contractions, and relieve pain quickly and effectively. Moreover, it also helps to reduce the inflammation of the pelvic area.
